1030 - Cable Ship

The maintenance and repair of a submarine cable in the English Channel. Once a fault is detected a cable ship is sent out to repair the submarine cables that connect London with the cities of Europe. The film shows the process of locating the fault using electrodes and a galvanometer, and then the crew explain their roles in hauling the cable on board and repairing it.
