Hoskins walks down a city street. He asks us if it wouldn't be nice to always win the World Cup, if banks had January sales or if we never lost remote controls behind the sofa. Across the street, people are running in and out of a bank carrying shopping bags. We cut to Hoskins sitting on a sofa which is being lifted by four men. He holds a remote control in his hand. We cut to Hoskins walking down the street again. He asks us if it wouldn't be nice if we talked to each other more without worrying about the cost. He walks past a window display of TVs. On the TV screens, Angela Rippon tells us that BT have abolished their highest rates for national calls. She tells us the new prices for calls. As the picture switches to a weather report, Hoskins comments that things are looking up.
