0536 - Cornwall to Ceduna (per minute cost revised)

In a cottage in Cornwall, where it is evening, Jane begins dialling a call. We see the call being routed to a satellite earth station and then via satellite to a house in Ceduna, South Australia where it is morning. A woman there answers the phone and is delighted to hear from Jane. Meanwhile the voiceover explains how technology has improved the experience of phoning abroad and dramatically reduced the cost. A call to Australia now costs 80p per minute. This revised version ends with the then-new British Telecom brand strapline: 'It's you we answer to.' The voiceover is by Derek Jacobi.
