0205 - Day Out

A man gets into a car. Hoskins is in the passenger seat. He tells the audience that the man is going to buy paint. In the next frame, a woman is now in the passenger seat beside the man. From the backseat, Hoskins tells us that the woman is going along as she doesn't trust the man. In the next frame, a young boy is sitting beside Hoskins in the backseat. Hoskins tells us that since the woman is going, the boy will have to go along too. A dog appears beside Hoskins. The dog is also going. Hoskins tells us that the family needn't have gone to this trouble. We cut to the woman at home. She calls a DIY shop and asks if they have a particular paint colour in stock. In the DIY shop, the manager checks his stock. He doesn't have any of the paint but says he can get it for her. The woman asks if he delivers. The manager checks her address and realises she lives nearby. We cut to Hoskins in the family home. He watches as the man plays with the young boy. In the next scene, the family is back in the car. Hoskins says that they're now free to have a day out in the countryside, thanks to one phone call. Hoskins: "It's good to talk".
