Description of the radio telephone link between the UK and USA. Explains atmospheric issues and the problems concerning sunspots and the ionosphere that affect transmissions and the requirement for a new receiving station at a location with better conditions. Cooling is identified as such a location for the installation of the new MUSA system. The film then shows the construction of aerials, trenches, a receiving station and the laying of cables at Cooling Marshes.
